I love doing my own nails. I have tried many different manicures and I will be the first to admit that it is just not the same when someone else does your nails. I have found that a reverse French manicure really helps make my hands look younger, and I don’t know about you, but I’m all for anything that makes me look younger!

The reverse French manicure is one of the best manicures for making your hands look more youthful. This type of manicure is where you paint your entire nail white and then paint the tips in a color of your choice. My favorite colors are pink or coral. This manicure accentuates your hands while making them look feminine, yet clean and professional.

Another advantage to this type of manicure is that it hides many of imperfections such as ridges on your nails. If you have any chips in your polish, they will not be as noticeable because half of your nail is white.

Women who have been wearing the French manicure look for years often find it hard to change. The look, in fact, is a classic; it is easy to wear and looks great on most people. However, if you want a change or are looking for a way to freshen up an aging look, consider the reverse French manicure. It is a versatile and stylish alternative with many possible variations. To create this nail look, start with a nude or neutral base color on your entire nail. Next, paint the tip of your nails with a contrasting color, such as black or white. You can also add some sparkle by using silver or gold. For those who want to continue to rock the French manicure look but in a different way, try using dark polish for the base and nude or light polish for the tip of the nail. Try out different styles to see what works best for you!

A French manicure is a nail salon treatment that has been a staple for many years. The nails are painted with an opaque pink base coat, and the tips of the nails are painted with a thin white line to make the nails appear more clean and healthy.

A reverse French manicure (also known as a “reverse French tip”) is a manicure in which the tip of the nail is painted in any color besides white, while the rest of the nail is left nude.

The main difference between regular and reverse French manicures is that reverse French manicures are more modern, creative, and fun. The beauty of reverse French manicures is that they can be customized to suit any occasion or personality. Whether you want your nails to scream your favorite sports team colors or shimmer with silver glitter, it’s possible with this alternative to traditional French tips!

A reverse French manicure is a fun way to shake up the standard French manicure. While a regular French manicure is usually painted with a white tip and pink base, a reverse French manicure has a white base and colored tip. This type of manicure works especially well with glittery nail polish tips.

Apply your favorite base coat to all of your nails. Allow the base coat to dry thoroughly before moving on to the next step.

Apply two coats of white polish to all of your nails. Let each coat dry completely before applying another one. This will prevent smudging and streaking.

Paint the tip of each nail with any bright color you like: orange, red, green, yellow or blue for example, or use a neutral shade like taupe or beige if you prefer something more muted than bright colors.

Allow these layers to dry completely as well before finishing off your new reverse-French manicure with a high-shine topcoat applied in thin layers.

I’ve always been a fan of the French manicure. It’s classy, clean and easy to maintain.

The only problem is when you look at it straight on, depending on how wide your nail bed is, there can be a lot of ‘white’ showing. That line of white makes fingers look shorter and stubbier than they really are.

To make your fingers look longer and leaner, try this new technique called the Reverse French Manicure!

What you will need:

Two shades of nail polish (a light color and a dark color)

Nail file & buffer

I have no idea what they call this nail polish style. It’s not a French manicure, but it’s a reverse French manicure, of sorts.

I did these nails on Sunday and the photos were just sitting in my camera. I didn’t really have time to upload them or do anything with them. Then I figured out how to upload pictures from my camera to my phone and now I can post pictures ANYWHERE!! Anyhoo, this was a manicure I did for a client who wanted something other than the norm. She wanted all different colors but she wanted the tips to be bare (i.e., not white). So I did this instead:

I used OPI’s “My Chihuahua Bites” for the base and OPI’s “Don’t Know…Beets Me!” for the tips. Don’t Know is a jelly-type polish that’s pretty sheer so you can still see some of My Chihuahua Bites through it. It reminded me of a reverse French manicure, so that’s what I’m calling it!

A reverse French manicure is a simple, elegant design that can be done in any color combination. It looks great on long nails and short nails, plain or decorated with embellishments. The best part? This look is easy to do at home by yourself.

To create this sleek look, all you need is two colors of nail polish. One color will be the base coat of your nails and the other will be used for the tips. I chose Essie’s “Urban Jungle,” a deep green, for my base coat because I think it looks great with just about any color tip. For the tips, I used “Lollipop” by OPI and painted a reverse French manicure on one hand and a regular French manicure (white tips) on the other, so you can see the difference between the two designs.\n
