A job painting nails? How do you get a job as a nail technician? What do you have to do and what do you need to know?

I’m going to tell you all about it. I worked in a nail salon for several years and now I paint my own nails every day.

As a kid, my mom worked as a manicurist. She would always have her nails done perfectly and she had her own clients that she would go to their homes and do their nails. There was no such thing as doing your own nails at home because it was much cheaper to let someone else do them.

My first job out of college was working in a nail salon as an assistant. I couldn’t believe how much work went into this job! Each client took at least an hour each time they came in for a fill-in (toenails were the same). The nail technician would file and buff the old acrylic off of their nails, clean up their cuticles, apply new acrylic, file and shape the new acrylic, then polish them with gel or regular polish.

How much money did my mom make doing this? And how much money did these women pay for this service? It was amazing!

The equipment needed to become a nail technician is

I love painting nails and getting my nails done. I have been getting my nails done for years and I decided to get a job as a manicurist. My mother has her own nail salon and she needed a manicurist to work for her so I went and got my license to do nails.

Once you complete your class, you can take your state board exam, which will allow you to become a licensed manicurist. After that, you can begin working in the field.

I was able to start working right away because my mother owns her own nail salon! I would advise people interested in becoming a manicurist to first research the steps they need to take in order to get their license. There are plenty of books out there, too, that can help them learn all about this profession.

I think it’s safe to say that I have a pretty cool job. I get paid to paint nails!

When I tell people what my job is, they usually reply with something like, “Wow! That would be so fun!” And yes, it is. It’s also physically demanding and mentally exhausting at times.

I’ve been a manicurist for almost seven years now. I started school just after I turned 20 and graduated with my license when I was 21.

The first year or two of working in the salon was definitely the hardest for me. My hands would ache by the end of the day from holding my arms up for hours at a time. My lower back would hurt from bending over to reach clients’ feet, and then there was the mental part of it all: trying to remember how to do each different service, trying not to mess up someone else’s work, trying not to offend clients when they wanted me to do something that was beyond my skill level yet.

I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed my job as a manicurist. I thought it would be boring to do the same thing over and over again every day, but I actually found it relaxing. After painting so many nails, you start to get into a rhythm and you don’t have to pay as much attention. It’s a nice change from working on computers, because you can just tune out for a little bit and relax.

It was also nice to have such a short work week. I worked 12 hour days for 5 days (60 hours), and then took two days off. That left me with plenty of time to spend with my family, or go out and do fun stuff, or even work on some of my own projects if I felt like it.

I also liked being able to control my own schedule so much. If there was something that came up in my personal life that I needed to take care of, I could just rearrange my schedule so that I didn’t have any clients that day. As long as the shop wasn’t too busy, the owner never minded if I had an occasional day off.

It’s easy to get started as a manicurist – all you need is a license which you can get by taking one

Hi, I’m Mary. I’m a manicurist. I paint nails for a living. For eight hours a day, five days a week, I file, buff and polish finger nails and toe nails.

I didn’t always do this for a living. In fact, not long ago this was just a way to pass the time in high school and college. My friends would come over and we’d give each other manicures and pedicures. We’d put on some great tunes, sip some wine coolers, eat some munchies and take turns painting each others’ nails in different colors. We had fun picking out nail polish colors like dark blue that matched our clothes for Saturday night or orange for Halloween. It was relaxing and enjoyable, like having your own personal masseuse after a hard day at work or school.

But now it’s my job – my full time job – to paint people’s nails.

I was nervous and excited to do my first manicure. I had been practicing on my friends, but this was different. This was an actual paying client.

“I just want a french,” she said. “And do you have pink?”

“Of course!” I replied. “I have every shade of pink!”

I led her to the back where I washed and dried her hands, then pushed back her cuticles, trimmed them, and filed her nails. Then came the fun part – choosing the color! I brought out all my shades of pink, from light to dark, from pale to hot. After she chose one (a medium pink), I began painting her nails with a base coat, followed by two coats of the pink polish, then finished with a top coat to seal and shine it all up. When they were dry enough, I removed the excess polish from around her cuticles with nail polish remover and an orange wood stick. Once that was done, I massaged lotion into her hands and arms for about two minutes apiece. Finally, I polished each nail with a buffing block to give them that wonderful high-gloss shine. She paid me $25 in cash and gave me a good tip!

I’m a professional nail technician. After working for many years in the corporate world, I have made the transition to doing nails every day. I love my job and wouldn’t trade it for anything!

I love having different color nails on my fingers. My nails are my best accessory, and change them so often that it makes me happy, so I thought why not try to make a living out of it?

Taking care of your nails is important. It can be a challenge, but you should work hard to keep them healthy and pretty. You need to use good products, don’t bite your nails, moisturize them and trim them regularly.

For me, applying nail polish is relaxing, like meditation or yoga. It’s a fun way to express yourself. You can create some beautiful designs with it too!
