I was never much for painting my nails. I found myself too busy and the process too complicated to stay consistent. I also found myself with little to no knowledge or desire to further explore nail trends and products. I was even less motivated to maintain a consistent manicure when, due to work, I had no choice but to remove my polish every few days.
Recently, while getting my nails done, I began to notice how nice they looked with polish on them. This caused me to wonder: How can I maintain the look of a manicure while still having the freedom and convenience of unpainted nails? In my extensive search for answers, I came across several products that have helped me achieve the desired result. As a result of my research into nail products and trends, as well as my increased awareness of the care and upkeep of nails in general, this blog will focus on these topics exclusively.
The first product that has really made an impact on me is the Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Nail Treatment. From what I have read about it there are not many negative reviews. It is said to strengthen weak and brittle nails for longer nail growth in just seven days! This product has definitely lived up to its claims. I applied it only once a day for seven days and have
Summer is finally here and it’s time to do a little nail clean up. Start by washing your hands with warm water and soap, then pat them dry. Next use a soft nail brush to scrub any dirt or grime from under your nails.
Now that our nails are clean, we can start thinking about color! There are a lot of different trends for summer nails:
Matte Nails: This is a totally new trend in the nail world! Matte nail polishes are available in almost every color imaginable, so you don’t have to sacrifice your favorite summer shade. Just paint on two coats of your favorite matte polish.
Glitter Nails: If you want to add some sparkle to your summer look, try glitter polish! Glitter polish is like regular nail polish, but it contains lots of tiny pieces of glitter. For a really fun effect, apply one coat of regular polish and then apply one coat of glitter over top.
The latest nail trends to hit the runway are super fun and simple to do. From glitter, to gems, to painted on designs there is a trend for everyone. Applying these trends at home can be done with practice and time. In fact, if you have a steady hand and an eye for detail you will be able to create these looks easily!
Glitter is all the rage this summer. The best way to get this look at home is to start with a base color of your choice. Then top it off with a clear coat of polish and sprinkle glitter on before the polish dries. Add as much or as little glitter as you like! You can even buy glitter polishes that come with a built in glitter top coat so they are ready to wear straight from the bottle! Another option is to use nail art tape or a thin striping brush to paint on stripes in bright colors and then add glitter over the entire nail. This look is perfect for adding summer flair to a neutral manicure.
Gems are also very popular this summer. There are two ways you can achieve this look at home. One option is again, just like the glitter trend, start with your base color of choice and add gems before the polish dries completely. The other option
I am obsessed with nail polish. I have a nail polish obsession. I don’t think I’ve gone more than a week without painting my nails since I was about 13. Now, as a 30-something year old woman, it’s still one of my favorite ways to add a little fun to my beauty routine.
In the summertime, especially, my toes are always painted. Bright pinks and corals are my very favorites for summertime pedicures, but this summer I’m feeling bold and trying something different: blue!
Turquoise toes are totally on trend right now and I’m having so much fun experimenting with all the shades that are out there. From bright neon blues to deep teals (my favorite!), I’ve had a blast playing around with them all! Here’s how you can try the trend in your own style:
1. Choose Your Color: You can never go wrong with a fresh coat of white polish on your toes, but if you really want to make a statement this summer, then go bold! Blue is definitely the color of the season and there are so many shades available at your local drugstore or department store. My very favorite is Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in Blue Me Away! It’s the perfect bright
Toe nail color is a personal expression of style and personality. If you’re in need of some inspiration, we have found the best colors for summer. From bright reds to pastel pinks, there’s something for everyone!
We’ve rounded up the most popular colors and shades of 2017. Stay trendy with these colors that will make your feet look fabulous.
When it comes to summer, the best colors are bright colors.
You have three basic color options when it comes to summer polishes: bright colors, pastel colors, and nude colors. Nude colors are always a good option if you want a more natural look, but they’re especially perfect for the summer. When you’re wearing less clothes than usual (if you’re going to the beach or on vacation), you don’t want your nails to be too eye catching. For everyday summer nails, try light pink or light beige.
Pastels are also great for the summer. They’re fun and flirty, but not too in-your-face. Try candy shop inspired colors like mint green, pale yellow, pale blue, pale lavender, and baby pink.
For nights out or if you just feel like having some fun with your nails, go for bright pinks and reds. Neon shades are also very trendy right now so try those if neon is your thing! My personal favorite is a red called Very Cherry by Essie.
If you have a few extra minutes after applying polish and before leaving the house, add a top coat over the color. This seals in color protecting it from chipping. Even if you don’t reapply color every day, a top coat will keep your manicure looking fresh.
