Summer is around the corner and neon polish is making its way back into our beauty routines. Neon polish itself is fun, but if you really want to amp up your nail game this summer, try neon polish under black light. Neon and UV polish glows under black light. It’s a great way to both dress up your nails and get a little psychedelic at the same time. It’s also a unique way to add a little something extra to your next pool party or night out on the town.

Before applying neon or UV polish, it’s important that your nails are ready for the special formula of these lacquers. Here are our best tips for preparing your nails for neon and UV polish:

Neon and UV polish can be a challenge to apply and achieve a long wear time. I have found that with these polishes, it is important to have an excellent base.

If you have used neon or UV nail polish before, you will know exactly what I mean when I say they can be difficult to work with. These polishes are thin, streaky and not very forgiving. They also seem to require more coats than normal polish and often don’t last as long as a regular mani. I’ve found that the best way to get success with these polishes is to use a good base on the nail. This helps them adhere better for longer wear.

I like to use China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat before applying my neons or UVs. This helps them go on smoother with fewer coats and really extends their wear time.

Preparing your nails for neon polish is a little different than preparing your nails for regular polish. Because the colors are so bright and vivid, you want to make sure that the polish sticks well and doesn’t chip very easily. Here’s how you can prepare your nails before painting them in neon colors!

Neon Nail Polish Preparation

1. Skin Care

If you have dry or flaky skin around your nails, you’ll need to smooth it out before applying the polish. Simply rub some cuticle cream into the skin around your nails and push back your cuticles with a cuticle pusher. You can find both of these at any beauty store or online. The cuticle cream can be used once a week to keep your skin soft, not just before painting your nails!

2. Base Coat

It is always important to use a base coat when painting your nails because it acts as a barrier between your nail beds and the color. One of our favorites is a ridge-filling base coat because it also helps to fill in ridges in the nail which often become more visible when wearing bright colors like neon pink! If you don’t have a ridge-filling base coat handy, any base coat will do! Apply one layer of base coat to

Neon nail polish is a great way to add a pop of color to your look! It can be applied in many different ways and can really help you stand out. The great thing about neon nail polish is that it’s easy to apply, doesn’t take long, and you don’t have to spend a lot of money on it.

I’ve been using this polish for a while now and I love how bright it makes my nails look! I wanted to share some tips on how I prepare my nails before painting them with this polish so that everyone knows what they’re doing when their nails start looking like this.

The first thing you need to do is get rid of any old nail polish on your nails. Use cotton balls dipped in acetone-free remover or rubbing alcohol as needed during this step!

Next, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before applying the neon nail polish because if there is any residue left from previous applications it might affect how well neon colors work for you (and could even make them look duller). Make sure you dry them completely after washing too so that no moisture remains on the surface.

You should also use a base coat before applying neon nail polish; otherwise, the color will stain your nails and not last as long

Neon polish is all the rage this summer, and UV-reactive polish is hot, too! But when you pull out the neon pink, yellow, orange, or green polish for your nails, you might be pulling out a headache as well. Paint your nails with neon color without a white base coat and you’ll likely find that the color looks dull and faded instead of bright and vivid.

The solution is to lay down a white polish first before applying your neon or UV color. While it might seem like an extra step to take in your manicure routine, try it once and you’ll see how much better the neon colors look over the white base coat.

The best part is that you don’t need to buy an expensive brand of nail polish to get a good white base coat. If you have any white nail polish on hand that you already own, give it a try and see how much better it works than if you had applied the neon color directly onto bare nails.

When it comes to applying neon nail polish, the same principles apply as with all nail polishes. This means: you should look after your nails, file them appropriately and push back your cuticles, before applying any type of polish.

The most important step is to make sure that your nails are clean. This means removing all traces of oils, which are present on everyone’s nails and can prevent the polish from adhering properly. For this purpose, dip a cotton pad into pure acetone or specialist nail polish remover and wipe each nail with it in turn. This will remove any old polish residue and leave your nails squeaky clean. If you have never used pure acetone before, beware; it smells terrible and can be very drying for your hands!

The good thing about neon polishes is that they can hide a multitude of nail sins. If your cuticles are ragged or your nails are rough and ridged, a bright color will draw attention away from imperfections. The downside to this is that the more opaque the polish, the more it shows up any nail flaws. If you want your neon to look its best, be sure to prep your nails properly before you paint them. The steps are same as a gel manicure, except you’ll skip the top coat and just use regular polish instead of a gel version.

The first step is to clean off any old polish that might be on your nails. Then, file off any rough edges and shape your nails into an oval or square shape (or whatever shape you prefer). Push back cuticles gently with an orange stick or cuticle pusher and trim hangnails if you have them. Soak hands in warm water for around five minutes to soften the skin around your nails. After the soak, apply a generous amount of hand lotion to moisturize your skin. You can also apply cuticle oil before painting to keep cuticles soft and healthy.

Before painting on a base coat, wipe off all traces of lotion with nail polish rem
