Men’s nails need the same care that women’s do, but for many men the thought of going in to get a manicure can seem a little too girly. Many men don’t realize that it is just as important to take care of their nails as it is to take care of their skin or hair. So skip the nail salon and learn how to do your own manicure at home.

Tools:

Nail Clippers

Nail File

Cuticle Pusher

Cuticle Nippers (optional)

Hand Lotion

Step 1: Trim

The first step in your manicure is to trim your nails with your nail clipper. Just like hair, you want to cut your nails when they are slightly damp; dry nails are more difficult to cut. It doesn’t take much water at all, just run them under tap water for about 5 seconds and then pat them dry with a towel. Now you can trim your nails – cut straight across so that you have one even edge on each side of the nail and a flat surface on top. Be careful not to clip into the corners or you might end up with ingrown nails!

Ladies, you are not the only ones that can get a manicure. It is no longer taboo for men to get their nails done. A manicure can go a long way in keeping your hands looking good. Here are some tips on how to do a proper manicure for men:

1.Do not skip the trimming step

If you want clean and healthy looking nails, you will have to trim them first. Trimming prevents nails from splitting and breaking. Use nail clippers or scissors to trim your nails straight across. Make sure the edges of your nails are smooth after trimming by using an emery board or file. Begin filing lightly at one corner and work your way across the nail. When filing, use long back and forth strokes so as not to tear the nail or split it.

2.Soak them in water

Soaking your nails in warm water helps soften dead skin and cuticles that may be on your fingers and nails. You can add lotion and salt to make this more effective because both ingredients help exfoliate dead skin cells. Soak your hands for about 10 minutes, then pat dry with a towel before moving on to the next step.

3.Apply lotion

After soaking, apply some lotion

Nail care is an important part of every man’s grooming routine. Whether you’re a businessman, a software engineer or a construction worker, your hands are always on display and they may be the first thing someone notices about you. By taking care of your hands you can make a good first impression and show that you are professional and well groomed.

In this article I will show you how to do a manicure at home. If you haven’t done it before, don’t worry – it is very simple and takes only 10-15 minutes of your time once a week. It doesn’t require any special skills or tools, just some patience and attention to detail.

Let’s get started!

Men can benefit from manicures, too. And yes, that includes you. We’re not talking about a full-on spa visit with hand massages and scented lotions. But every man’s hands could use some TLC every now and then.

Once you get your nails in shape, maintain them at least once a week by clipping off any rough edges and pushing back the cuticles. That will keep them clean and healthy looking—and keep you from looking like an unkempt caveman next time you head out on a date.

Men have been getting manicures for a long time. The ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians all took care of their nails, but it was only in the 20th century that the standard of the perfect female manicure began to emerge. Women were encouraged to make themselves more presentable by having neat nails.

Today men are turning to the salon to keep their nails in tip-top condition. Like women, they want their hands to look good, especially if they are engaged in a profession that requires frequent handshakes. In addition, men who work with their hands now realize that having well-manicured nails can help them do their jobs better.

The first step in a manicure is removing nail polish. If you wear polish regularly, then you should go for a professional manicure about once a week or so. You may want to do your manicure yourself at home in between salon visits, but be sure to keep the nails short and neat. This will reduce your chances of breaking or chipping a nail.

Nail care is an important part of grooming. The hands are one of the most visible parts of your body and having dirty nails or cuticles can be detrimental to a person’s overall appearance.

The other reasons to take care of your nails are:

– Trimmed nails look more professional.

– Long nails can make typing on a keyboard difficult.

– Dirty nails can lead to infections.

– It makes you feel better about yourself.

A nail is a horn-like envelope covering the tips of the fingers and toes in most primates and a few other mammals. Nails are similar to claws in other animals. Fingernails and toenails are made of a tough protective protein called keratin. This protein is also found in the hooves and horns of different animals.

The nail consists of the nail plate, the nail matrix and the nail bed below it, and the grooves surrounding it. The matrix, sometimes called the matrix unguis, keratogenous membrane, nail matrix, or onychostroma, is the tissue (or germinal matrix) which the nail protects. It is the part of the finger or toe that produces cells that become nails.

The width and thickness of the nail plate is determined by the size, length, and thickness of its component cells. The plate’s color is often determined by the pigment of the underlying blood vessels; as blood flow increases toward the tip (known as capillary action), it appears more pinkish from beneath.

The shape of the nail is determined by the form of its hyponychium (the skin under which lies beneath). The epidermis (the uppermost layer of skin) has no blood supply and
