I first encountered the phrase “nail polish colors” on a website about nail polishes. They had named their blog “100+ Nail Polish Colors And Ideas: A blog with trends and tips.”
It’s easy to see how one could get confused by this. Nail polishes are not colours, they are objects that happen to be in certain colours. So why do people talk about nail polish colours?
The answer is that it’s a way of talking about colour without having to describe it. If you say “nail polish colors” you don’t have to say what the colour is; everyone will know it’s the colour of the nail polish you mean.
Another example: I was in a bookstore, and I saw a book called “How to Win Friends and Influence People.” It was a self-help book, supposedly giving you advice on dealing with other people. But when I looked in the index, there was no entry for “people.” Instead there were entries for things like “a sure way to make enemies,” and “how to get cooperation.” So I thought maybe this book wasn’t really about people at all–maybe it was just a collection of useful tricks that happened to involve other people.

Nail polish is a lacquer that can be applied to the human fingernail or toenails to decorate and protect the nail plates. Nail polish originated in China, and dates back to 3000 BC. Around 600 BC, during the Zhou dynasty, the royal house preferred the colors gold and silver. However, red and black eventually replaced these metallic colors as royal favorites. During the Ming dynasty, nail polish was often made from a mixture that included beeswax, egg whites, gelatin, vegetable dyes, and gum Arabic. In Egypt, the lower classes wore pale colors, whereas high society painted their nails a reddish brown color. It was also known that mummified pharaohs would have their nails painted by henna. By the turn of the ninth century, nails were tinted with scented red oils (still done in Japan today) and polished with beeswax. In ancient Egypt and Rome, military commanders also painted their nails to match their

Nail polish has been around for thousands of years – dating all the way back to 3000 B.C. when Chinese royalty used a mixture of beeswax, egg whites, gelatin, vegetable dyes and gum Arabic to paint their nails in a variety of colors. Several centuries later, Queen Nefertiti was known to have used a similar substance to paint her nails red. In ancient Egypt, nail color was only reserved for royalty and the upper class, but today it is available to everyone everywhere in every shade imaginable.

As with most fashion items these days, we’re seeing that what’s old is becoming new again; so expect to see lots of bright and bold colors like orange and purple as well as more subtle pastels making their way into your local beauty supply store this season – along with lots of new sparkle
All of the seasons and trends that come with them always seem to inspire me to change up my nail color. Usually I will get 2-3 manicures done through out the fall season, but this year I decided to just do my own.
I am not a professional nail artist by any means, but I thought it would be fun to share what I have learned throughout the years with you all. Here is how I do my nails at home without having to spend money on a manicure every other week.
1. The first step is to start with a clean slate! Remove any old polish that is left from your last manicure and file your nails (if needed) with a nail filer.
2. Push back your cuticles using a cuticle pusher or your fingernails (the latter works for me). Do not clip off your cuticles because they protect your skin from germs and infections, but instead just push them back so that there is no dead skin hanging over your nails.
3. Apply some cuticle oil or moisturizer (I use Vaseline) around the base of your fingers and massage it in well. This helps keep the area hydrated and healthy, as well as prevents hangnails from forming.
