Hair Short or Long? Deciphering the Meaning of Nail Length

One of the most common questions I get asked is why my nails are always pink and blue?

Hair Short or Long?

I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I get asked if it’s OK to have long nails.

The question usually goes something like this, “I want to have long nails so I can play guitar, but I’m worried about my nails growing longer than my fingers.”

The answer to this question is simple: No! You don’t want your nails longer than your fingers. It’s just not a good look. Your fingers should be at least as long as your nails, which means the nail bed should be roughly equal to the length of the nail itself.

So why do people ask this question? Because they think they’re cool. They think they look good with short hair and short nails and they want everyone else to think so too.

If you’re one of these people, please don’t be offended by the fact that I’m telling you that your hair and nails shouldn’t be longer than your fingers. I’m not saying you’re ugly or anything like that. All I’m saying is that you should be more careful about what you put on your body and how much time you spend doing it.

The Long and Short of It: Hair, Nails, and Meaning

In several posts here, I have discussed the meaning of short nails. In this post, I will discuss how long nails affect the meaning of hands.

Hair is often a source of interest. Is it long or short? Dark or light? Straight or wavy? The same is true for nails. Nails can be short or long and light or dark (though not always). However, only hair length is socially acceptable to change on a regular basis. Although women are expected to keep their nails clean, neat and trimmed regularly, they are not expected to change nail size on a regular basis as they would hair style.

Nail length can indicate either being open to the world or being closed off from the world around you. Long nails are open while short nails are closed. So if we see someone with long red nails, we would think that person was open to the world around them and that they were willing to engage with the world through their hands (red is also an indicator of activity). If we saw someone with short blue nails, we would think that person was more closed off and more likely to use their hands for internal things (blue is also an indicator of introspection).

Long fingernails and toenails on a man may be seen as feminine, but the meaning of nail length changes with gender. This means that when it comes to being long versus being short, the same rules do not apply.

The length of a person’s nails can have different meanings based on gender. Whereas women who have long fingernails or toenails may be seen as having style and glamour, men with long nails are generally viewed as having poor hygiene. Men with long fingernails are also often assumed to have some connection to the homosexual community.

When it comes to men and women, longer does not always mean healthier. The health of fingernails is indicated by the lack of ridges and discoloration. Men who have healthy nails can keep their nails short if they prefer, but those who prefer longer nails should keep them clean and trimmed in order to avoid negative connotations about their hygiene or sexual orientation.

The length of your nails can reveal a lot about you, especially when it comes to your personality and health.

One study found that women with long nails, for example, are more likely to be allergic to the ingredients in nail polish than those with short nails. This is because the longer the nail, the more chemicals there are trapped under it.

Fingernails grow faster on the hand you use most, so if you’re right-handed, your fingernails will grow faster on your right hand.

Pink and blue are two very different colors. Pink is commonly known as a feminine color, while blue is generally considered masculine. In fact, pink is a relatively new color added to nail polish, and some people believe it was created to separate women from men.

So what does this mean for your nails? The answer has more to do with gender roles than gender differences. The color of your nails depends on whether or not you’re male or female, but not if you’re a man or a woman. If you have short nails and are a man, then chances are good that you have short nails because you have short hair. However, if you have long hair and long nails then chances are good that you have long nails because you have long hair

A woman’s nail size gives clues to her personality. What do you prefer? Are you a long nail kind of gal or a short nail kind of gal? Well, here is the most comprehensive guide I could find on what your nails say about you.

Long Nails

The first thing that comes to mind when I see long fingernails is that the person must have a lot of time on her hands. The more elaborate the nail art and design, the more time I think she has spent on them. Long nails can get in the way and be cumbersome.

There are some people who like to scratch things with their nails. This can be an entertaining habit if you have a pet cat and you have long nails (in the eyes of the cat), but otherwise, it could be annoying. These are not necessarily people who chew their nails — they are people who like to use their nails for doing things such as cleaning out earwax, digging dirt from underneath their nails, or scratching lines in wax candles!

On a positive note, long fingernails give women a sense of power and control over men because they can use them as weapons when necessary. They also make women feel more feminine and sexy since they draw attention to their hands and fingers while adding

Very often we can judge a person’s personality by taking a look at their hands. Nail length is one of the features that tells us about this. Long nails often mean that the person is self-assured and likes to be in the limelight. Short nails are for the shy ones, who are not afraid of hard work.

The French manicure is very popular among young woman with short nails. The reason for this is because it gives them a natural look while still adding some glamour. It also gives a professional look on any occasion, no matter what color you choose to wear.

Other colors do not say much about your personality, unless you choose to paint your nails with two different colors. If you have pink nails on one hand and blue nails on the other, this means that you want to be noticed by men but at the same time you want to get along with women as well. It says that you are easy going and enjoy being around people.

On the other hand, if you have red nails on both hands it shows that you are a very passionate person who needs love and attention all the time. You cannot stand feeling unloved or unwanted and will do anything in your power to make sure that does not happen!

My nails are my pride and joy. I had a pink set of acrylics for about 2 years, until my nail technician retired. The last few months I’ve been getting gel nails done, but the salon that does them is not very reputable, and they don’t last more than two weeks due to poor application / lifting.

Since I’m not going to get anything done properly until the next time I visit the States in November (I live in Japan), I decided that instead of spending $15 every other week on gel nails that end up looking like crap anyway, I’d just grow my natural nails out.

I am now at the point where they are a little longer than what would be considered normal (I think), but still too short to file into a square shape. They’re not quite long enough to have the tips show when my fingers are pressed together, but they are long enough to catch on things and start breaking off occasionally.

So here’s the question: Is it better for me to keep growing them out, or should I trim them down?
