Welcome to my website! This site is all about nail art – nail art designs, pictures, videos and step by step tutorials.

When I was a little girl, my mom and I would spend our Saturday afternoons painting each others nails! It was one of our favorite bonding activities. The manicure is a beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands, performed at home or in a nail salon. A manicure consists of filing and shaping the free edge, pushing and clipping (with a cuticle pusher and cuticle nippers) any nonliving tissue (limited to cuticle and hangnails), treatments with various liquids, massage of the hand, and the application of fingernail polish.

In many areas, manicurists are licensed and follow regulations. Since skin is manipulated and is sometimes trimmed, there is a certain risk of spreading infection when tools are used across many people. Therefore, having proper sanitation of implements and adequate disinfection of the work environment are important.

In many countries, including France, Canada, Germany and Turkey, manicures do not include the application of artificial nails or nail polish. In these places, nail treatments are generally referred to as “pedicures”
