Pantone has announced the Color of the Year 2016, which is perfect timing as we come into a new season. This year, Pantone has decided to select two colors of the year, Rose Quartz and Serenity. We guess they couldn’t decide on just one color. These two shades are perfect for summer and even better for your nails. Below are our favorite nail polishes inspired by these two colors.

Essie “Rose Bowl”: Essie’s “Rose Bowl” is a creamy rose hue that will instantly brighten any outfit.

CND “Romantique”: This pastel pink shade is perfect for spring and summer outfits.

OPI “Rose Against Time”: OPI’s “Rose Against Time” is a dusty rose shade with a hint of brown undertones that looks beautiful on all skin tones.

Butter London “Lovely Jubbly”: This shade is a bright rose color with warm tones that make it a great polish for summer months.

Orly “Quarrel”: Orly’s “Quarrel” is a light mauve that’s a great transitional color from spring to summer. It also looks gorgeous with a tan!

For the first time ever, Pantone has announced two colors of the year for 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity. This is a huge deal for everyone from designers to beauty bloggers to fashionistas.

Here are some of my favorite nail polish colors inspired by Pantone’s Rose Quartz and Serenity!

OPI “My Favorite Ornament”

Pantone’s Color of the Year 2016 is a soothing, dreamy pairing: Rose Quartz and Serenity. The colors are inspired by the soft pastels of a tropical sunset and aim to bring a sense of calm, relaxation and peace to your day.

Here are 10 nail colors to try if you’re feeling inspired by Pantone’s selections.

Essie’s Ballet Slippers

Ballet Slippers is the most popular sheer pink polish in the country, according to Essie. It was created after the Queen asked for her nail color to be made available to the public, as it was previously only used for royal manicures. The shade is one that looks great on every skin tone and nails of any length.

Butter London’s Sweetie Shop

Butter London describes this shade as “a hard candy confection of a sweet pink glitter lacquer,” which is perfect for bringing some fun into your next manicure at home or at the salon.

CND Vinylux in Lady Like

This hue is a light baby pink with some slight coral undertones. It looks great on fair skin tones and will give your nails that fresh, natural look without being too stark against

If you’re already a fan of Pantone’s Color of the Year, Rose Quartz, or its sister hue Serenity (a muted pastel blue), chances are you have a closet full of pink and navy. Nail color is the easiest way to incorporate these colors into your everyday beauty routine. Whether you like a sheer finish or a punchy pop of color, there are plenty of polish shades to choose from.

The first thing that popped in my mind when I saw the 2016 Color of the Year was Essie Ballet Slippers. This pale pink is a classic shade that has been popular for decades.

This pale pink from OPI is more on the pastel side, as with many Pantone-inspired polishes. It looks gorgeous on its own for a subtle look, or paired with an accent nail in Serenity.

This shade from Deborah Lippmann is, A Light Dusting Of Sparkle — Just Enough To Make Your Manicure Shine Bright Like A Diamond! The formula is super rich and long lasting, too.

This milky pastel shade from Dior has a beautiful pearlescent finish that gives your nails just enough sparkle to look like they glow from within.

Rose Quartz is a soft pink that conveys compassion and a sense of composure, while Serenity is a tranquil blue shade that conveys a sense of respite and relaxation.

The two colors combine to form an effortless palette.
