I have been applying nail polish to my nails for a number of years, but I have always had one problem. The next day all of the work I did the day before has disappeared; and I am left with bare nails. It was not until recently that I discovered how to apply nail polish, and have it last for more than a day.

It is very simple, but you need to take your time, and do it carefully. The following instructions will help you achieve a proper application of polish.

This is the proper and simple way to apply nail polish. This can be applied to any brand of nail polish and will work perfectly every time.

You will need:

Nail Polish Remover

Cotton Balls or Pads

Emery Board or Nail File

Base Coat

Nail Polish (and a second coat if needed)

Top Coat

Step 1: Clean Nails and Fingers

Clean your nails with nail polish remover. This takes off any dirt and oils on your nails so the polish will stay on longer. You can also wash your hands before hand to get rid of any dirt or oils. You may want to use a moisturizer on your hands after using the remover to get rid of the dry feeling that usually is left behind from using remover. Dry hands don’t hold nail polish as well as soft, clean ones do.
