How to Get Rid of Yellow Nails

If the stains on your nails come from the actual nail itself, these may be more difficult to remove unless you use a special whitening product. However, some home remedies and professional nail products can help you get rid of yellow nails.

Home Remedies

Try a simple home remedy first. One of the most popular methods involves soaking your fingernails in a mixture of warm water and lemon juice for about 10 minutes. A natural astringent and antibacterial agent, lemon juice helps clean under the surface of your nails, according to “The New York Times.” If your nail polish is the culprit behind your yellowish fingernails, try removing it with white vinegar instead. Soak a cotton ball in pure white vinegar and hold it against each fingernail for about five minutes; this should help break down old nail polish and lift the color away from the surface of your nails.

Over-the-Counter Products

Look for over-the-counter whitening products that contain hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide as an active ingredient. These substances are both bleaching agents that can help reduce discoloration on your nails. Look for products that also contain moisturizing agents like glycerin or lanol

This is the first of many tutorials I will be adding to this blog. The tutorials will range from nail art to nail care, with an emphasis on the latter. When I was young, my nails were very weak, and I always broke them easily. For those of you who have had the same experience, I hope I can help you take better care of your nails and improve their general condition.

In this tutorial, we will show you how to create one of our favorite looks for spring: the pink ombre! We know what you’re thinking; is ombre still in style? The answer is yes! Ombre has been around for a while now and it doesn’t seem to go away anytime soon. The great thing about ombre is that it looks good in all seasons, not just winter or summer.

The pink ombre look is also very easy to do at home, so let’s get started!

As with any beauty treatment, it is necessary to invest the time and effort to make the most out of your manicure. A simple trick to getting your nails to grow faster and stronger is taking a biotin vitamin supplement. According to the Mayo Clinic, Biotin is a water-soluble B-vitamin (B7) that supports cell growth and aids in metabolism of fat into amino acids. In other words, biotin makes you strong!

Biotin can also be found in many foods such as eggs, salmon, avocado and almonds. Start incorporating these foods into your diet, or ask your doctor about adding a biotin supplement to your vitamin regimen.
