To start with, we’ll need to find the right nail polish for you. We will go over what kind of color you like and what type of brush to use. The tools needed are pretty basic and can be found at most local beauty stores. They include a nail file, nail clippers, and some cotton balls for cleaning up after your manicure is done.

The nail artist starts with a white base coat and then draws a circle around the cuticle with a black nail art pen. The next step is to fill in the circle with black polish, starting at the cuticle and working toward the tip of the nail. A glittery orange polish is painted over the black circle and then blended into it by wiping off the excess polish on paper towels. A second coat of orange is painted over the first, if needed.

Finally, three dots in red, yellow, and green are added using the nail art pen at random spots along the arc formed by the black circle. The design is finished by adding top coat to all fingers except for the ring finger. On that finger, only one coat of top coat is applied over each layer as it is built up so that there will be dimension when it is complete.
