Vinyl Nails Are the Newest Trend in Nail Art

Nail art has been a big thing for a few years now, especially on Instagram. The other day, I was scrolling through my feed and came across an article on a new nail trend: vinyl nails. I had never heard of them before, but they looked pretty cool.
Vinyl nails are similar to press-on nails, and they are reusable. They come in various shapes and sizes to fit your nail beds perfectly. They are like stickers that you stick on your nails and paint over with regular nail polish. When you take them off, all you need to do is rub off the excess polish with some acetone and they’re ready to be used again!
I bought a pack of vinyl stickers from Amazon, which included 36 different designs for $9.99. There were flowers, hearts, chevrons, triangles and even bows! After choosing a design for each nail (it took me about 15 minutes) I painted over them with my favorite nail polish color: bubble gum pink from Essie’s summer collection. To apply the vinyls to your nails, you place the decal over your nail, then use an orange stick (or other tool) to press it down firmly so it will stick. Next, paint over the decal with two coats of your favorite polish color. You can use one coat if you want a sheer wash of color, or go for three coats for a deeper shade. Once your polish is dry, carefully peel back the decal with your orange stick.
