Hi guys! I’m back with a blog post to talk about this new nail trend that has been popular in the past few months. This trend is called dip nails or powder dip and it is basically an acrylic nail without the UV light.

I’m sure most of you have seen this trend pop up on your social media feed with really bright colors, long and sharp stiletto nails, or just plain nude color. But what exactly is a dip nail? How does it work? Is it better than a gel manicure? Read on to find out!

So first, let us get into what a dip nail exactly is. Dip nails are basically a mix of different kinds of powder that you dip your finger into. The powder is like an acrylic powder but obviously much more finer since there’s no need for UV light to set the powder. After dipping your finger into the powder, a clear gel base coat will be applied (usually) followed by a top coat of your choice to add shine and give strength to the nail.

So now that we know what exactly dip nails are, let’s talk about how they actually work. So as I mentioned before, there are different types

Dip powder nails are the latest trend in nail art. These nails are not like everyday gel nails, it’s a whole other thing. The powder that is used to create dip nails is made with a special formula of polymers and resins, so they are incredibly durable and long-lasting.

Dip powder nails are also known as SNS, which stands for Signature Nail Systems. According to their website, SNS is the first company to introduce dipping powders to the beauty industry. Dip powder is supposed to be healthier for your nails than other manicures because it does not require UV light or drilling into your nail bed. They also come in a lot of different colors and finishes, so you can pick whichever one fits your style best.

How To Apply Dip Powder Nails:

1. Prep the nail by filing it down and removing any cuticles.

2. Clean off any dust created by filing with a lint-free wipe soaked in a polish remover (without acetone).

3. Apply a thin layer of adhesive base coat on your nail and dip into the powder color of your choice, making sure to cover the entire nail bed and tip on both hands.

4. Repeat this step three times to ensure full

The nail dipping system is safer and more flexible than the traditional acrylic system. This new nail trend is healthier for your nails, more affordable, and just as gorgeous.

A refill will cost you around $40, which is fairly inexpensive compared to a gel manicure that costs between $30 and $40, or an acrylic manicure that costs between $45 and $55. A powder dip manicure uses a brush-on gel base on the nail, which is then dipped in a powder. The powder can be clear, or it can have color in it (usually pigments or glitter). Your nails are then sealed with a top coat of gel polish.

You may find that getting the perfect at-home manicure becomes easier with practice. And who knows? You may even learn to love painting your own nails!

If you’re looking for a long-lasting mani that’s stronger than gel and more flexible than acrylic, look no further than dipping powder nails.

The application process is pretty similar to a traditional manicure, but there are some steps that are different. First off, your nails will be sanded down and cleansed before the nail technician applies a base coat. After the base coat is applied, the nail technician will dip your nails into the powder before applying a topcoat. Depending on how long you want your mani to last, the powder can be reapplied multiple times to make sure it stays on for at least three weeks.

Dipping powders are often marketed as being healthier for your natural nails than other gel or acrylic alternatives because they don’t need to be cured under an LED light. The powder typically doesn’t contain harsh chemicals like formaldehyde or toluene that can damage your health or cause respiratory issues in nail technicians. That said, a lot of dip powder formulas still contain other potentially harmful ingredients that can cause skin irritation and possible allergic reactions, so make sure you do your research before picking one up at your local beauty supply store.
