Gel nails are a durable and long lasting manicure that will not chip or scratch. While they may last up to two weeks, they require a visit to the salon and can cost up to $35 dollars a visit. For those of us on a budget, this is not an option.

However there is a way to create gel nails at home without the UV light for an affordable price. I have worked in the nail industry for more than 15 years and I have found that these products give you the best results with out the UV light. This blog will show you how!

Do you always go to a salon to get your gel nails done? Do you love the look, but hate the price? It might be time for you to start getting your own gel nail manicures from home.

First, let’s talk about the benefits of gel nails. Whether you get them done at a salon or do them yourself, gel nails are great because they last longer than regular nail polish. With regular polish, it chips in just a few days, but with gel nails it can last up to two weeks before you need to redo it. They also dry almost instantly and come in a wide variety of colors.

So how do you get your own gel nail manicure from home? Well, there are two ways that I’ll be talking about in this article. In one way, you will be using a UV light and in the other way you won’t need one. Let’s begin with the UV light method.

Gel nails are a popular choice for women all over the world. The way that gel nails are applied is similar to acrylic nails, but instead of using a powder and liquid to apply the gel nails use gel and a UV light to set.

The gel dries instantly when it’s hit with the UV light, leaving you with a beautifully polished nail that is strong and durable. One of the best things about gel nails is that they look like natural nails, unlike acrylics which have a tendency to look a bit fake.

Gel Nails From Home

One problem that many women have with getting their own gel nails at home is that they don’t have access to a UV light. Without this powerful light the gel will not dry properly, meaning you’ll be stuck with sticky goo on your fingers.

This isn’t something that you can just ignore and hope will go away; you’ll need to remove the entire nail, including any polish and start again.

This site is about UV gel nails and how to get beautiful nails without leaving home. I know that at times it can be difficult for ladies to go out and get their nails done. So here you will find a few tips on how to create your own nail salon at home.

I am no expert at this but I have researched the internet in search of answers to some of my own questions. So if you have any questions please leave a comment and I will try my best to answer them for you.

I’ve been getting gel nails professionally done for over a year now, after years of having acrylics I finally made the switch to gel. The downfall is that they’re expensive and I don’t have time to get them done professionally on a weekly basis so I decided to try doing them at home. I bought the supplies I needed and started practicing. After a couple tries I had it down, and it’s super easy! The only thing I was missing was the UV light, but with a little bit of research I found out there’s another way to make your gel nails last for weeks:

1. Start by filing your nails into the shape you want, and buff them. Make sure to get off all excess dust.

2. Put some hand lotion on and wipe your nails off with alcohol. This makes sure your skin is extra clean so the gel will stick better.

3. Apply the base coat and put it under the UV light for 2 minutes, or let it air dry completely (about 20 minutes). You can also use an LED lamp, if you have one; in that case cure each coat for 30 seconds instead of 2 minutes (or 20 minutes without a lamp).

4. Apply 1st colour layer and put it under UV light for

Gel nails are the perfect solution to anyone looking for beautiful, long-lasting nails. They are a great alternative to acrylics because they do not damage your nail bed. However, they can be expensive and time consuming to get done at a salon. Luckily, you can apply gel nails from home and save money and time.

This is my first attempt at applying my own gel nails. I purchased a kit by Sensationail on Amazon. The kit came with a nail file, buffer block, primer, UV gel polish in “Red Carpet Ready,” UV topcoat, UV lamp and cleanser pads.

Step 1: Find the right gel

The first step is finding a gel that will air dry. There are only a handful of them. The UV gels that you can find at Sally’s are not going to work because they have faster curing times, which means they need a faster drying time and that is what the UV light does. I am using Young Nails Manicure Pro Gel for this tutorial.

Step 2: Apply the gel

Apply the gel in the same way you would with a regular polish and do three coats. I do two coats on my nails, but I always end up with some slight nail lines when it dries. So I do an extra coat to even out the color and then file lightly with a buffer block (I use 150/180 grit). This helps to get rid of any bubbles left after filing and also cuts back down on how much goo you’ll have left to remove later. If you want to add glitter or anything else on top, now would be the time.

Step 3: Wait and wait some more

This is the hardest part of all! It takes 12 hours for this stuff to dry completely so you’ll want to set aside plenty of time before attempting this manicure. For me, I put both
