My Favourite Shades for the Fall

As the weather turns cooler and the days get shorter, we all turn to warmer colours to brighten up our days. My favourite shades for the Fall are deep and rich, but with a hint of colour that is unexpected.

Last year I fell in love with Essie’s Chinchilly. It was the perfect grey. Not too dark or light, but with just enough colour to make it interesting without being harsh. It was a perfect neutral shade that paired effortlessly with any outfit. This year I’ve been eyeing Julep’s Charli which is a similar shade with just a hint of brown to warm it up for the season. For those who want a little more drama, Zoya’s Kristen is a deep muted purple-grey that makes the perfect accent nail paired with darker reds and browns or as an all over colour to add depth to your outfit.

If you like something a little brighter, these burnt orange shades are still warm enough for Fall while adding just enough brightness to keep things fresh and fun. OPI’s Cajun Shrimp is a high gloss orange-red that pairs well with warmer tones in your closet while Julep’s Dominique adds just a hint of coral to brighten things up.

Choosing the right shade

Everyone has a favourite shade of nail polish that they wear over and over again. I myself have many, but I thought that today I would share with you my top 4 favourite shades for the Fall.

1. China Glaze: “Ruby Pumps” – I have been wearing this colour non-stop since the summer time. It is a deep, dark red colour with shimmers of gold and orange. This nail polish is so unique! The formula goes on smoothly, lasts days without chipping and has a gorgeous shine to it once it dries.

2. Essie: “Topless & Barefoot” – This is a more subtle nail polish than the rest on my list, but it is definitely one of my favourites for the Fall. It’s a nude shade with pink undertones that looks great on any skin tone! This nail polish also has a great formula and will last days without chipping.

3. OPI: “Tickle My France-y” – This is a beautiful pinky/light brown shade for those who want to add some colour to their nails without going too dark or too light. It’s not your average neutral shade either; it has some shimmer to it which makes it even more gorgeous! The formula applies

I am so excited to share some of my favourite shades for the fall! While I love all colours, I think that these are the best shades to complement any skin tone.

First, I think we should talk about why these colours work. Darker and more muted shades compliment all skin tones the best. They can be worn easily with any outfit, and truly make your nails pop. In my opinion, it is better to go for a more neutral colour than a bright one that might clash with your outfit or skin tone.

The first shade in my line up is Chanel’s “Particuliere”. This colour has been one of my favourites for years and is a great transitional shade from summer to fall. It is a very dark nude, almost like a brownish grey. This shade does have some shimmer, but it is so subtle you can barely see it in most lightings. It looks amazing on everyone and is definitely a staple for me!

Next up is OPI’s “Pussy Galore”. This one is not for the faint of heart! It is a very deep violet/ burgundy shade and will definitely stand out on your nails. My favourite thing about this colour is how well it complements every skin tone!

We are all about the vampy shades for Fall. There is something quite sexy about a dark, deep and mysterious shade.

We believe that every woman should have at least one of these colours in their collection. However, we have selected our top three shades that we think are the most flattering for this season. Our list includes a beautiful dark chocolate brown, a deep burgundy and a jet black.

I am excited to share with you my favourite nail colours for Fall. This is the time of the year where I start wearing darker shades on my nails and stray away from brighter ones. The key to finding that perfect shade is to determine your skin tone and pick colours accordingly.

If you have a fair complexion, I suggest a shade of red that is vibrant, but not too bright. A deep red can be really elegant, especially if you want to wear it for holiday parties. If you prefer something more subtle, try a dark pink or mauve colour.

On the other hand, if you have tan or olive skin, I recommend colours with a hint of orange or copper tones in them. This can add a nice glow to your complexion. Also, try a shade that has brown or burgundy undertones. For all my ladies with darker complexions, go for dark greens and blues! These are great for Fall and will make your nails stand out in any crowd!

The colour of your nails can really make or break your look. Choosing the right colour for your skin tone is key to looking polished and put together. A little bit of contrast goes a long way and so does the perfect shade of nail polish.

As we say goodbye to summer, I have compiled a list of three colours that will help you transition into fall. These colours range from subtle purples to deep reds and work best on most skin tones. The shades I’ve selected are flattering on most people and can be worn in any season.

I recommend applying two coats after applying a base coat to ensure a smudge free manicure that will last throughout the week. For ladies who prefer longer nails, I recommend filing them into an oval shape as this will help your hands look younger.

Red Nails

The first color that comes to mind when I think of Fall is red. Red nails polish never go out of style and is always a classic, so this is the perfect colour to wear. There are so many different shades of red nail polish that you can choose from, but I love a cherry red nail polish for the Fall. The darker shade just feels appropriate for the season and it goes with every outfit! Also, if you feel like it can be too much, opt for a sheer red nail polish instead. With that, you get a hint of colour without being too bold.

Dark Blue Nails

The second color that I love to wear in the Fall is dark blue nails. Nothing says Fall like dark blue, right? Similar to red nails, there are many different shades of blue nails that you can choose from. For example, there are navy blue and baby blue nails shades available on the market. However, my favorite shade to wear in the Fall is dark blue nails because I feel like it complements my skin tone quite nicely and it gives off a very polished look.

Gold Nails

Lastly, I love wearing gold nails during the Fall. Just like blue and red nails polish, there are many different gold nail polish shades available
