If you are like me and adore the color pink, then you love the variations of this color. From light to medium to bright and deep rosy tones, there is a shade of pink that flatters everyone. It is all about finding just the right intensity of color, which you can determine by your skin tone. When selecting a shade of pink for your nails, keep in mind that dark pinks are more flattering for darker skin tones and lighter pinks look great on lighter skin tones.

Pink is a very versatile color especially when it comes to nail polish. If you are looking for something that is joyful, sweet and feminine….go with a soft barely there pink. If you want to add a bit more drama or make your hands look younger, try a bright coral or rose shade!

On the runways of Dsquared2, Giles Deacon and Sonia Rykiel, models were seen sporting pink nails in different shades from pastels to bright fuchsia. With the weather getting warmer and spring on the horizon, we’re ready to start wearing some fun nail colors and trends. One of my favorite things about spring is that it brings a little bit of brightness back into our lives. The first thing I do when the weather starts getting nicer is pack away my black winter clothes and start wearing bright, happy colors. The same goes for my nails! If you’re looking for some inspiration for your next mani/pedi, this blog is for you!

Pink Nails

As soon as I saw the new pink nail color trend, I just had to try it out! It is such a cute color that I think anyone can pull off. Whether you go with a hot pink or a soft pink, either one will look great. This pastel shade looks so good against lighter skin tones but it also looks great against darker skin tones too. It really doesn’t matter what color you are because this color compliments everyone!

Gold Accent Nails

If you want to get in on the nail art trend, I suggest starting with gold accent nails. This trend has been around for quite some time now and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Gold accent nails look absolutely amazing against any

The first two weeks of the year are always exciting because it’s time for the major beauty companies to showcase their Spring seasonal trends and product launches. Last week, I attended one of my favorite shows, CND. It was a spectacular display of nail art and new products, where they announced their spring color collection, Vinylux Weekly Polish and Weekly Top Coat.

The collection is inspired by the “Coveted” theme, because as women we all have things we desire and love – whether it’s a fabulous pair of shoes or a beautiful new handbag! There are three key color stories: The Gold Standard (gold), Vintners Reserve (wine) and Painted Desert (nudes).

I am in love with the gold shades, which include Supernova Sparkle (sparkle gold), Nectar (pink-gold) and Silver Chrome (metallic silver). They are so pretty! I also love that this collection is formulated with Pro Light Technology which provides durability and protection through weekly applications.

The CND Spring 2012 Collection is available now at salons nationwide.
